Started my note-taking journey with Notion but it was trying to do too much, so I lost focus.
Switched to Obsidian as an alternative which really focuses on the note-taking part without many distractions. What really won me over is that it writes to plain markdown files - much easier to manipulate, reuse, and migrate later. The markdown base was perfect for starting a digital garden using Quartz.
The graph view was a nice extra bonus, it gives a great overview on how your notes all relate to each other.
